| Overview: This tutorial will show you how to make microbes,
the first thing I learned in Cinema. |
| |
| Step 1: First start off by selecting a platonic
object. Next make it editable (by pressing c). |
 |
| Step2: Next go to STRUCTURE > EDIT SURFACE > MATRIX EXTRUDE |
 |
| Step 3: Leave the settings at thier default level and just click
ok. You will have a jaggedy object, that doesnt look to nice, next we will
smooth it. |
| Step 4: Click the hyper nurbs object, then drag and drop the platonic
into the hyper nurbs. Your object will now be smoother. |
 |
| Step 5: If you want it smoother, you can do one of two things:
either increase the subdivision editor level OR drop the exsisting hyper
nurbs object into another hyper nurbs object. (WARNING: I dont recomend
you to tier hyper nubs more than twice, infact with large models {high poly
count} this can cause cinema to crash if you dont have enough memory. I
recomend increasing the subdivision editor value. |
| Step 5a: To increase the value in XL7, double click the hyper nurbs
object and increase the value, in R8 click the hyper nurbs once and change
the value in the attributes window. |
 |
| Your done! thats all there is to make a microbe. You can change the values
of the matrix extrude tool, which i recomend. If you decrease the steps
of extrusion it will make the microbe smaller. |
