In this example I used the default shape "Arc" and made it editable. Then select the top and bottom points. To do this (if you dont know) Choose the selection tool, select one point, then while holding the shift key down, select the other point.

By clicking on "Align to 1st point" With the X axis selected, this is the effect.

As you can see, the top point is now aligned with the bottom point on the x axis. If we select to align it on the Y axis here is the result.
